Connect U Conference
North Bay CUE, formerly known as Wine Country CUE, is revving up for the 2nd annual Connect U Spring Conference. This is a chance for like minded educators to connect for a day of learning with 10 sessions to choose from. With the new iPad 3 to creating online learning, there is a class for everyone! All workshops are high caliber learning opportunities for creating 21st century classrooms. We also have the rare privilege to have Courtney Cadwell, an original Khan Academy pilot teacher, present a hands-on workshop.

New Tech Network (NTN) Open House
The New Tech Network has moved! Join us as we celebrate our new location! The New Tech Network is a Napa-based non-profit organization that works with schools, districts, and communities to implement innovative public high school education. They took the model of New Tech High that was created in Napa and have created 87 New Tech High schools around the country in the past 14 years.
The event is open to the public: 935 Clinton Street, Napa.

UC a-g Workshops for CTE Teachers
California’s Business Education Leadership Project is conducting a workshop to help high school CTE teachers develop or modify courses to meet UC a-g requirements.
Participants will learn the UC a-g course submission and review process, look at the UC policies and criteria for acceptance, and understand how to draft a rigorous CTE course to qualify as college preparation. You will receive resources, helpful links, and copies of UC approved CTE courses. Substitute and travel reimbursements are available for teachers with credentials in information technology, finance and business, and marketing, sales and services.

2nd Annual Success After High School Conference
Come to the Success After High School conference at the Napa Valley College to understand your choices after high school, develop new ideas on how to pay for college, learn about academic support and how to pick a career.
The event is open to the public. Students in grades 8, 9 and 10 are encouraged to attend with their parents. Workshops will be held in Spanish and English. To register, call (707) 253-6829.
