Goals

To meet our Charter, NapaLearns will focus on 8 key goals:

Facilities and Technology

  • Deploy appropriate computers and internet access to all 21,000+ students at all grade levels in Napa County

Curriculum Development and Delivery

  • Investigate, evaluate and introduce innovative online courses that allow students to learn at their own pace and in their own mode of thought
  • Build on the student centric, project based learning approach developed at New Technology High and SC21 to educate our students using this new mode of learning

Professional Development

  • Make available technology and workshops, programs, and coaching for teachers on their enhanced role as mentor and guide

Philanthropic Fundraising

  • Raise at least $ 1 Million annually in philanthropic funds for these initiatives

Grant Solicitation and Administration

  • Solicit and administer at least $ 1 million annually in education grants to support our efforts

Performance Measurement

  • Monitor and report on student performance to grant and philanthropic funding sources
  • Use these results to modify the curriculum and delivery to meet our preparedness goal

Competitive Ranking

  • Identify 10 “best of breed” programs and rank our efforts objectively against them

Community Advocacy

  • Communicate our efforts to all constituencies in our community
